aaWhat is Permaculture?
Permaculture is a whole systems approach to design that recognizes human settlements as a key part of earth's biological cycles. These design strategies are rooted in careful observations of natural patterns and are employed to create highly productive environments beneficial to all life.
Permaculture practices model the resiliency, stability and abundance of the natural world. The guiding principles can be applied to urban, suburban and watershed scales, to all climates and many cultures, from indigenous to technological.

"What permaculturists are doing is the most important activity that any group is doing on the planet. We don't know what details of a truly sustainable future are going to be like, but we need options, we need people experimenting in all kinds of ways and permaculturists are one of the critical gangs that are doing that."

- Dr David Suzuki geneticist, Broadcaster and International Environmental Advocate
