Will Nissen works with the 7-12 year old cohort in the Wild Tenders youth program. He has completed three years of the Weaving Earth adult immersion.

When Will looks back on his childhood, he is deeply grateful for the countless hours he spent playing outside. Will loves how play deepens and expands relationships and sparks each person’s unique creativity. He brings ease and comfort with being in the woods and wild places, and he loves connecting through myths and stories, searching for ways they connect and inform life.

Will has four years of experience leading kids into the backcountry on hiking and canoeing trips in New Hampshire and Maine. He also worked in Massachusetts as a farm educator at The Farm School, connecting kids from the Boston area to the cycles and rhythms of a small farm. Now he is entering his second year as a staff member at the WE kids program. He recently graduated from a third year in the WE adult immersion, steeped deeply in relational education and is currently enrolled in Rx Outside’s Nature Led Approach, a 9-month mentorship informed by occupational therapy, child development and deep nature connection.
